BITRA - Bibliography of Interpreting and Translation
This site comprises over 53,000 entries (over 7,000 books, 21,000 chapters, 22,000 articles, 1,000 Ph.D. dissertations, etc.), with more than 19,000 abstracts (a third of the entries), more than 55,000 citations in the Impact field, and more than 2,000 tables of contents, making up a database on translation and interpreting created in 2001, and assembled and coordinated by Javier Franco.
There are searchable versions in 14 languages: Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, Galician, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish.
BITRA is updated on a monthly basis and searching is completely free, although we would appreciate acknowledgement from users who have found it helpful.
Every effort has been made to provide as much information as possible on the contents of the documents. However, the most reliable informants will clearly be the authors and readers of the works themselves. Any contributions or comments will therefore be most welcome and explicitly acknowledged.
This database has been partly possible thanks to the funding contributed by the Spanish Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia through the project "Enlargement, development and exploitation of the online database BITRA (Bibliography of Interpreting and Translation). Code: HUM2007-66784-C05-01.
