* MonTI publishes one yearly issue every Spring.

* Only complete articles are accepted as submissions.

* The contributions, which should be original and unpublished, will be strictly subjected to the following norms:

•    Maximum length: 10,000 words, including works cited.
•    Font: Times New Roman.
•    Size: 11 ppt.
•    Line spacing: single.

Language options: Catalan, English, French, German, Italian or Spanish.

The title page should include the following information in this same order:

•    Title of the article, followed by a blank line. An English translation of the title should be included if this is not in English.
•    Author(s)
•    <e-mail>
•    Affiliation, followed by a blank line.
•    Two abstracts: in English and in any of the other official languages (75-150 words each).
•    An English translation of the title if it is not already in this language.
•    Keywords: up to five subject headings in each of the same two languages.

The text of the article will begin on the second page.
Sections: These will be identified with titles, and enclosed by one blank line before and after each title. Section titles will be numbered according to the following system:

    1. Section Title
    1.1. Section title
    1.1.1. Section title

Footnotes: These should be avoided. Especially, notes must not be used to give bibliographical references that can appear in parenthetical form within the text. If any footnotes are used, raised (superscript) note numbers should be placed after the last word of the sentence the author wishes to comment upon, and after all punctuation (including parentheses and quotation marks). They should be written in Times New Roman 9ppt.

Examples: Listed and numbered examples illustrating a point should be isolated from the rest of the text by blank lines.

    (1) First example

    (2) Second example

When the examples are individual or not listed, they should be italicized and quotation marks avoided. If analyses or detailed descriptions of aligned examples or translations are needed, they should be provided within a table.

Figures and graphic items: Always state the graphic file format of the illustrations (tree analyses, pictures, etc.) and the program that generated them. All illustrations should be provided as part of the manuscript and also as individual files.

“Special” characters: If necessary (e.g. for phonetic transcriptions), Arial Unicode MS should be used. If this is not possible, a copy of the font-file should be sent.

Quotations: Unless special emphasis is required, prose quotations of up to two lines should be run on and enclosed in double quotation marks. Longer quotations should be separated from the context, indented and never enclosed in quotation marks.

Parenthetical citations:
Surname(s) (year: pages)            as Johnson (2003: 18) states
    (Surname(s) year: pages)            (Pérez González 2003: 18-20)

Works cited / references: This section will only include works really cited in the text and will begin after a blank line when the text has come to an end. The complete names of the authors will be included whenever possible. The list will be arranged in alphabetical order by author and year of the first edition, and according to the following pattern:

DEADLINES
The deadline will be June 30 for all issues. The contribution will be sent as an attachment (in Word or any other word processor compatible with Word) addressed to the Managing Editor of MonTI (    monti.secretaria@ua.es ).

A bionote for each of the authors must also be sent in a separate document (maximum 150 words). The bionote must be sent in 2 languages, one of them the same as the language used in the article, and the other one at the author's choice, always taking into account that one of the languages must be English.

After receiving the reports from the referees, the journal will provide the authors with a reasoned statement regarding the acceptance of their contributions before September 30. The assessment reports will be sent to the authors so that they can modify their texts. The final text should be sent before October 30. There will be no more proof-reading after this stage.

Please try to follow the guidelines included here. Failure to comply with these instructions may be reason enough for an article to be considered ineligible for MonTI.
